PFG-Middendorf was founded in 1962 as a small butcher operation, specializing in custom orders and personal delivery. Since then, it has grown into a much larger scale business, servicing many of the region’s top restaurants and hotels.

With a “Center of the Plate” philosophy which highlights the entrée as the focal point of the meal, PFG-Middendorf has built a tradition of unsurpassed quality. While hard work and success have allowed the company to grow, the integrity of this company is a constant.

This award is chosen by the Permanent Advisory Committee of the MRA Board of Directors and is not awarded every year.

It is presented to recognize individuals for extraordinary and selfless contributions that have had a major impact on our businesses and industry.

Since 1994, past recipients include former State Senator Robert Johnson, Dr. Stinger, and the University of Missouri Hotel and Restaurant School.
